I bought this jacket because I have wanted one since I was 12 years old - some 60 years ago! My mother would not let me have one when I was a kid, 'cause it would have made me look like a "hoodlum." I do not own a motorcycle, and have never even ridden one, although I have raced cars, and driven a street car 170 MPH (unbeknownst to my mother). I just decided that I deserved a jacket like this before I croak. This is a really nice heavy duty jacket, and the leather is good quality. Sadly, it is just too small on me. I am 6'2", 205 pounds, and now wear a 44 long sport coat - I used to wear a 46L, but got old and shrunk. I ordered a 46 in this jacket because of the reviews. It is still too tight, and too small. I am not fat, and the waist is not the issue - it is the shoulders that are too tight. The leather is very thick and heavy, which makes the jacket feel even smaller - at least until it is broken in. I read a review saying it is supposed to be tight. That may be true on a bike, but not for my purposes. I cannot put my hands in the pockets because it is so tight.I have not given up, and will return this one and order a 48. I really do like the jacket, and would give it 5 stars if it fit. I recommend at least 2 sizes larger, unless you want it skin tight.Classic MC jacket, hard to find and price was fantastic!I bought this jacket last week and received it just this past Sunday. Shipping was fast and this was without using Prime. I was a bit concerned when I first got it cause it was really boxy and the sleeves looked a bit too fat. I considered getting it altered, but thought my first attempt to make this really work for me would be to throw it in the washer to get it wet. I didnt use fabric softener or any kind of detergent. I just wanted to see if the leather would soften up and shape better. Then I threw it in the dryer. Instructions on the jacket said to tumble dry on low, but I was hoping for some shrinkage so I threw it in at medium heat. Checked on the drying process periodically, tried it on and everything, and I was getting some shrinkage. I just wanted to shrink the sleeves a little bit and so far so good. I tugged at the bottom of the jacket to make sure the length remained the same. After a few runs in the dryer, I tried it on, and the leather was very pliable and the fit was actually perfect (for me). The boxiness went away and now feels a bit lived-in, which is what I was going for.As far as sizing, I went my standard size, as in, I took my measurements and selected my size based on the size chart provided.TLDR: I was iffy on the boxiness of the jacket at first, but after a wash and dry, I love it!First things. I tried it on and right away noticed how hard I had to struggle to get my other arm in the jacket. I know properly fit jackets are snug but this was, am I even going to get this off snug?! Got it on. The photo shows how far apart the zipper is. This isn't loose fit. This is as tight around me as it'll go. My belly is 52. So I go by it for chest measurements. Never go wrong that way. Even my waste is a 42. All measurements are where a 48 jacket should fit. Snug. Not like a ham wrapped in string. It's 12 inches almost from zipping! I gave it 2 because if the sizing was correct, it seems like a legit good quality. I'm gonna swap it for one I think will fit. I hate this crap. Wait wait wait. Plus that size is out of stock. Why can't every company use the same sizing!?!?!? It's not that hard to do! Will update review once Amazon fixes this. Probably should have just got a Milwakee in the first place.I bought this jacket after realizing that my old original jacket from 1985 no longer fit. It must have shrunk because I couldn't of put on 50 pounds :)! Anyway, this new jacket is every bit as good as my old $300.00 jacket and it already feels broke-in. This one has nice concealed carry pockets and the laced sides snug things up nicely by pushing down on the knots. I followed others advice and ordered a couple sizes bigger even though that was a bit tough on the ole' self esteem. My chest measures 46", gut is 48", waist is 45" so I ordered a 50. It fits nice and has a bit of room if I want to wear a sweatshirt. Those lased sides make for great adjustability for layers. I also just ordered the Hot Leathers braided leather vest with buffalo nickel snaps. I live in Alaska and the jacket took about 4 days to get here. I read all of the reviews and for those who were not happy with the size, why didn't you send it back for an exchange? Anyway, love the jacket and look forward to wearing it for lots of rides for years to come. Best of luck. JeffI bought this jacket almost five years ago and it was an extremely good jacket until last September when an expedition ran a red light and hit me while going through the intersection at 60mph. After going partially thought the windshield smashing the roof in the jacket was still perfectly intact with slight road rash from sliding 50 yards. Even the paramedics that loaded me into the wagon said it was a great jacket cause there scissors had a hard time cutting through it. This jacket survived rain, a couple slides on the track and an SUV attack it was took this thing out. Take it from me this is a good riding jacket and that's some what of an understatement. The liner up here in the Pacific Northwest is a must in the winter and it's nice to be able to take it out in the spring when it's not as cold. The jacket sits at your waist so if you don't like it I suggest you tuck your shirt in when you ride and relax your shoulders so it'llcover your crack. I'm about 6'6 300lbs and got a 54 in this jacket and was perfect without the liner and a little snug with it but it still was extremely comfortable to ride in.La chamarra en si es de excelente calidad, como dicen mucho es más que uno puede esperar conseguir por ese dinero. This is the best fitting jacket I have had in years. I am of average height and have a bit of a weight problem, which usually means I can't get a jacket that will fit around my waist. But this one does. It appears to be well made and the leather is just right, not too heavy and not too light. It has plenty of pockets and looks great. The only negative that I can see is that it has a seam down the middle of the back. But this is common with the larger sizes, so I give it a five star rating.Overall, a FANTASTIC jacket!Really impressed with this leather jacket. Appears well-made, lots of pockets in the right place. The leather is thick as described in other reviews but that is as it should be, this is after all a motorcycle jacket. My expectations have been exceeded in relation to the quality of this jacket for the price..Ordered one size over and still a little tight.I don’t think they know how to size in China!Very Heavy jacket !! Lots of protection, Have not tried it with lining out yet !! Belt and buckle are a little sloppy otherwise a great jacket for the money.
