Hot Chillys Youth Geopro Crew Top - Kids' Thermal Base Layer Shirt for Cold Weather Hiking & Outdoor Activities

The shirt seems well made and is soft, but I bought the xxs (thinking that would fit a 5t) and it seems way too small.The youth size chart reads:XXS = 3-4 (US)XS = 4-6 (US)S = 6-8 (US)M = 8-10 (US)L = 12-14 (US)XL = 14-16 (US), so I am exchanging for an xs instead. But would have been nice to see this chart before I purchased - oh well.Overall fit was good and my 5 year old loves the thumb holes. We had to return the first one because there was ZERO stretch with the neck hole. My kid has an average size head and has always been on the smaller side for his age, but we could not get the shirt to fit over his head. We got a replacement and there was slightly more stretch but still an awfully tight fit just to get his head through. Must be a quality control issue because we ordered a smaller size in a different color for his sister and there's plenty of stretch with her shirt.I bought a medium for my grandson who typically wears an 8. It’s a nice shirt, good quality, with the perfect sleeve length. HOWEVER, the shirt itself works better on my 5 year old grandson.We got this for our son who likes the color pink but some folks in the family aren't delighted for him to wear pink too much. It is clearly a boys' style and the color is dark enough that it is surely pink but not too 'girly'. Incidentally, society is ridiculous over this. Men's fine clothing wardrobes include pink all the time. Go figure.Nice long sleeve. Soft, comfy and cozy. He likes it.Bought this shirt for my 11-year old son, who needed something pink for a dance. He LOVES this shirt, and especially likes the thumb-hole detail in the cuffs. The color is a dark hot pink, so not too "girly" either. I expect he will be wearing this shirt a lot, before he outgrows it!Color looked washed out. However,, grandson liked the thumb holes.Just what we wanted although should size up when purchasing.
